IMSI Catcher Detector for TSCM Professionals
We offer a field-ready IMSI catcher detection solution built on proven open-source technology from Rayhunter, utilizing an ultra portable mobile hotspot as a detector for cell-site simulators (Stingrays) so you can identify suspicious cellular behavior quickly, collect forensic data, and preserve evidence.

Key Capabilities
- Detects anomalous cellular signaling that can indicate an IMSI catcher or cell-site simulator.
- Flags unusual requests for device identifiers (IMSI/IMEI) that occur outside normal procedures.
- Identifies sudden downgrades from secure 4G/5G to less secure 2G/3G connections and unexpected loss of encryption or authentication.
- Generates real-time alerts via a local web dashboard for immediate situational awareness.
- Records detailed diagnostic logs and PCAP files for later forensic analysis and reporting.
- Ultra portable, lightweight, low profile, rechargeable design.

Why TSCM Teams Choose Rayhunter
- Practical and low-profile: runs on a compact Orbic hotspot for discreet, portable deployment during sweeps and inspections.
- Forensically useful: timestamped logs and PCAP captures provide evidence you can analyze or archive.
- Open-source foundation: inspect, validate, and integrate the tool into your existing workflows and reporting processes.
- Typical Use Cases: TSCM sweeps for high-risk meetings and sensitive gatherings, persistent monitoring around facilities suspected of targeted surveillance, and rapid reconnaissance where cellular interception is a concern.

How It Works (Overview)
Rayhunter runs on an Orbic hotspot and monitors the modem’s low-level control traffic (signaling) from nearby cell towers, and analyzes signaling patterns in real time to detect behavior inconsistent with normal network operation.
When suspicious activity is found, Rayhunter issues an alert on the interface and begins or continues recording diagnostic logs and PCAP files. Operators can download all evidence from the dashboard for offline forensic review and reporting.

Important Technical Notes
Rayhunter is an open-source EFF project designed to operate with an Orbic hotspot. It is a detection and logging tool; it is not a mitigator — it identifies suspicious cellular behavior and provides forensic evidence for follow-up. Intended for professional TSCM, security teams, and technical investigators who require validated detection capability and forensic outputs.
